⚠️ Mistakes to Avoid When Setting Up Your Robot

⚠️ Mistakes to Avoid When Setting Up Your Robot

Everyone makes mistakes sometimes — but some are better to avoid from the start.
Here’s a list of the most common mistakes we see — mistakes that can prevent your robot from working correctly, or even lead to account losses.

1) Opening an Account Without Our Affiliate Code

When opening a trading account you want to connect to our robots, you must enter our affiliate code.

  • If you don’t, we may not connect your account or could disconnect it during review.
  • Please pay attention to this during registration. 😉

2) Depositing Funds from a Different Bank Account

Some of you generously help friends and family with registration and robot setup — and we truly appreciate it.
However, there are strict limits.

  • Never send money from your personal bank account or card to someone else’s trading account.
  • This violates broker terms and conditions and can even lead to the broker closing the client’s account.
  • Funds must always be transferred from an account held in the same name as the trading account.

✅ This applies even between spouses and family members.

If you're unsure, contact us or RoboForex support before making a deposit.

3) Choosing the Wrong Trading Account Type

RoboForex offers four types of trading accounts — but only three are suitable for robots:

  • ECN
  • PRO
  • ProCent

Some users accidentally choose the wrong type, which can cause the robot to malfunction or not perform optimally.

⚡ For larger deposits, we recommend using an ECN account (or alternatively, a PRO account).
⚡ For smaller deposits (a few hundred dollars), a ProCent account is better — it allows even clients with lower balances to use our robots effectively.

📋 Each robot manual clearly states the minimum deposit needed for different account types.
Please respect these minimums — it’s necessary for the robot to work properly.

Also keep in mind:
Our master robot accounts are usually ECN accounts, and the performance we present matches ECN conditions.

In the RoboZone client area, you’ll find the minimum deposit amounts listed on each robot’s tile. (password: nemuset)
